Just trying to get a handle on the amount of time my kids watch videos at our house... I want some feedback on how many minutes a day does/do your child or children watch a day? If not a day - in a week? Do you watch with them or is it something they do by themselves or with each other...

Miya (4) doesn't nap anymore so to keep her quiet while the babies sleep I let her watch one movie. They also typically watch Curious George while I make dinner. Then a one or two nights a week we all watch a movie together with dinner like a picnic, it's pretty fun. Otherwise there are 3 shows that Aaron and I keep up with and the kids watch those with us. If it's any more than that it's not an every day thing.

ReplyDeleteMy kids get an hour of television per day. If we watch a family movie together on a Friday or Saturday night, that time is not taken from the daily total. Of course all of my children are school aged. When they were pre-school, the amount of TV varied a lot! 2-4 PBS shows a day, unless the weather was really yucky or I was pregnant and had morning sickness and just wanted to lay on the couch.
